EDIT (02 December 2014): The OC requests are closed! Stay tuned for the free commission winners announcement later this week! The sketches will be started this week too.
The purpose of these sketch requests is to practice drawing the wardrobe I'll be displaying in my WIP comic.
Those most important of these outfits belong to the three categories presented below:
- Police Detectives (trench coats)
- Police officers (uniforms)
- Private investigators/P.I.s (suits)
To distinguish between the "hard-boiled" detective/P.I.s and the "gentlemen" detective/P.I.s, you can tell not only by their choice of coffee/tea but also their CLOTHING! Along with the city's detective sergeants are the officers in blue, Ardordam's police force, who are both valiant and corrupt in equal measure.
Where does your OC fit in...?
Interested in a FREE sketch? Do the following four steps!!!
- pick ONE of your original characters
- pick ONE category from detective, P.I. or police officer
- leave at least one image reference or a short description of your character
- place all this information in a comment in THIS JOURNAL
Please note:
-Your character will not be used in the comic. This is for drawing practice only.
-THREE free full color requests will be given to three lucky participants, whether you make the slots or not. As long as you comment on this journal with the correct information requested above, your name will be put in the random raffle!
Sign ups for this will be open until Friday November 28th!
SIX (6) SLOTS WILL BE OPEN BUT MAY CHANGE TO A MAXIMUM OF TWELVE SLOTS!
The raffle for the three names will be announced December 6th!
I hope you'll let me practice drawing with your lovely characters! Have questions? Please ask away, Little Wanderer~!

M.A.D. Mysteries to-do list...
Some plot ideas that aren't 100% concrete for Smile Villain Smile's precursor cases. I've managed to work on a few of these stories with a rough outline and it's been fun trying to shape the different crime scenes.
Scenarios for Milton and Adley Detective (MAD) Mysteries:
Milton arrives in Ardordam by the West Rail when the disappearance of family heirlooms leads to a more sinister theft.
Lena Soslan tasks Milton with finding an impossible item before she agrees to hire him. During his search he must pursue Lena’s runaway child.
Milton and Adley are in Ardordam’s premiere shopping mall where the little girl witnesses a strange
Devious Journal Entry
Hello everyone! Long time no..deviating? :la:
Anyway, it's been a while. DeviantArt was my online homebase for ten years and then I wandered off somewhere with my dolls. Yes, I blame the BJDs.
But the dolls also helped! They provided some much needed inspiration.
So I'm back hoping to be active here again. Also I'm hoping to achieve some serious progress on 'Smile Villain Smile' (SVS) for the rest of this year. A two year hiatus is too long. I'm wanting to redraw those seven prologue pages of Act 0. ~facepalmplz (https://www.deviantart.com/facepalmplz) Mostly, I want to get the outline for a few mini mysteries and volume 1 down pat. My long-shot dream is try to get SVS out o
Another Hobby + Question
Hello, everyone!
So this will be random, I suppose. But if you can, I'd like your opinion on how to proceed as I enter a new hobby!
I think maybe most of you know what Ball-jointed Dolls (BJDs) are? If not, be sure to look them up here on deviantArt; a lot of talented artists, sculptors, designers and photographers can be found through this resin medium. :D
Anyway, I took the leap and ordered not one but TWO of these gorgeous dolls. I plan to improve my sewing skills and learn to do face ups as well as photograph them.
So my question is: Should I upload my BJD-related stuff here on this account? Or would it be preferable to upload onto a
